MAKING THE situation FOR awesome job ENCLOSURES

rather often, we see job boxes that seem to be built much more as an afterthought than anything else. That’s not to state there is anything wrong with stuffing your newest development into a nondescript black box, or even cardboard if it occurs to in shape your needs. in some cases however, an enclosure embodies the spirit of a project, making everything that much cooler.

[Adam] just recently chosen up a copy of Make magazine as well as chose to develop their “Luna Mod”, a noise impacts generator as well as looper based on a PICAXE-08M. aside from the micro controller the Luna Mod includes a couple of pots, a switch, as well as a few LEDs – nothing extremely striking. when he had whatever put together on a strip of protoboard, he started working on his enclosure.

The enclosure is made of an old record, which after some trial as well as error, [Adam] got just right. The record was heated as well as cut, then bent into shape. While it’s not necessarily a hack, we believe it looks quite slick. It truly fits the style of the Luna Mod as well as is far much more appealing than a ordinary plastic box.

Stick around to see his noise generator in action.
